Pregnancy Week 14

Keeping warm with a little fur coat!

Your baby is about the size of a lemon and measures 8.3 cm long and weighs in at about 43 grams!  Teeny tiny but perfectly formed! And, believe it or not twice as big as last week!

Whatever the weather outside your baby needs to keep warm and so has grown itself a little fur coat known as lanugo which is a really thin layer of tiny hairs which help to protect your baby’s skin and keep him the right temperature.

His kidneys are working well as is his liver and spleen. He is bopping around all over their womb!

Is your bump starting to show?  Take photos for the album!

Your little one has teeth, fingerprints and its vocal cords are fully formed! Baby has been busy!

What’s happening with you?

If you have kept your pregnancy a secret you are probably thinking about announcing your new family member.  If you are one of the lucky ones that have remained unchanged in size you may even decided to keep your big secret to yourself!

The choice is yours!
